Candidacy Statement

I am excited for the opportunity to continue to serve my community, alma mater, and the Association of
Graduates as a member of the Board of Directors. Service has been an integral part of who I am since before attending the Academy and is still an inherent part of who I am even in retirement. I see this as a perfect opportunity to continue that service, and I feel that my operational experience and academic background is well suited as a member of the Board.

This opportunity comes at an ideal point in my personal life and professional career. Personally, I am finally in a position where I have the time to dedicate the required focus and energy to an endeavor such as being a Board member. Professionally, my experiences over two decades of service in the Air Force helped to hone my leadership, communication, and team building skills as I worked with a broad range of mission areas as well as local community and business leaders. I am excited to leverage these skills to exercise outreach across our network and the local community, and vigorously advocate on behalf of the cadets and our graduates as we strengthen our Association.
