Andrew Hendel Class Of 2009
Andrew Hendel graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2009 from Cadet Squadron 17. While on active duty, he served as a Combat Rescue Officer leading Air Force Pararescue Teams on Personnel Recovery Missions with multiple deployments to South East Asia and Africa. His time on active duty culminated as the Guardian Angel Division Commander of the 88th Testing and Evaluation Squadron located at Nellis Air Force Base, NV. Andrew left Active Duty in 2017 to pursue a career in Finance and simultaneously joined the Air Force Reserves as a Traditional Reservist. He left his finance business in December of 2020 after three years. Andrew is currently running two small businesses and is the Chief of Training for the 26th Space Aggressor Squadron located at Schriever Space Force Base, CO. Andrew joined the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates Board of Directors in 2019 and serves on the Finance and Joint-Finance Committees. He lives in Castle Pines, Colorado with his wife Chelsea, USAFA Class of 2010 and his three sons: Talon (8) , Jett (7) , and Blaze (2).
Having served on the Association of Graduates Board of Directors since 2019, I am asking for your vote to serve for another four-year term. While a Director on the Board, I have advised on the hiring of a Single CEO, the North Gate Development Project, Membership for All Graduates, and the Graduate Survey. While much has been accomplished, there is much to do in order to serve the Long Blue Line and the United States Air Force Academy. My desire to serve on the Board of Directors is to simply give back to an institution and graduate community that has molded my adult life. I built lifelong friendships, fostered my first lessons in leadership, received an outstanding education, and met my wife Chelsea, USAFA Class of 2010. Thank you in advance for your support in this election.
