Candidacy Statement

I have a deep appreciation for everything the Air Force Academy afforded me as a cadet. The education, leadership opportunities, and personal relationships I formed at USAFA have paid dividends in my life. I wear my Academy ring proudly and participate within our network of graduates extensively. As the Class President of 2011, I am an active member of the Class Advisory Senate at the AOG. In the last two years I have tackled the emerging concern facing the AOG—younger class involvement. In this capacity, I focused on gathering data and forming recommendations to the AOG and Board to increase younger class involvement. I believe we are at an impasse as a community of alumni. Our Long Blue Line is not as zealous and robust as many of us want. Younger graduates are not leveraging our extensive graduate network, nor giving back to our alma mater with our time, talents or gifts at the desired levels. Utilizing my previous work, determined work ethic, and passionate commitment for success, I want to be at the forefront to help the AOG better serve all graduates and take our network to new heights by serving on the Board of Directors.
