A Shout-Out from the Colorado House

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Garry Dudley ’68 was recognized from the floor of the Colorado House of Representatives on April 30, 2019.

Dudley and his wife, Tina, thought they were simply on a tour of the Capitol as the guest of Rep. Mark Baisley (R-Roxborough Park). But Dudley was surprised when Representative Baisley approached the microphone in the well of House shortly after the House was called into session and asked all the representatives to stand in tribute.

Rep. Baisley then read a short statement about Dudley’s service in Vietnam and as a career Air Force officer, and his years of service and dedication to the United States Air Force Academy.

Dudley was presented with a certificate signed by the Speaker of the House. The last line reads, “The Colorado House of Representatives expresses its deepest gratitude to Lt. Col. Garry Dudley for his defense of our liberties in his lifetime of service.”
