Family Plan Membership Questions

Q: What does my Family Plan Membership include?

A: Your $36 monthly payment is split into two categories: $20 pays for the parent portion of the membership which includes all of your AOG membership benefits (https://www.usafa.org/Membership/Benefits) and access to our WebGuy program (https://www.usafawebguy.com). The remaining $16 of your membership fee pays for an AOG Life Membership for your cadet. While you are enrolled in the Family Plan Membership, your cadet has access to all AOG membership benefits (except WebGuy access and voting privileges. WebGuy is a parent-membership benefit only and voting privileges are instated after graduation). At the end of your 48-month term, you and your cadet have individual Life Memberships to the Association of Graduates. Your payments stop automatically after the 48th payment, but you can access the benefits of membership for life.

Q: When would be the best time to start my Family Plan Membership?

A: Join us anytime – the sooner the better! Membership payments begin immediately and the term is 48 months. The sooner you become a member, the sooner you can start enjoying the benefits. Online membership enrollment closes each year on the last business day in July.

Q: Is there a membership option that gives us access to WebGuy just during BCT?

A: No. The Family Plan Membership is designed to be a 48-month term as WebGuy is an all-year-round program designed to take you from Inprocessing Day to Graduation. It covers Basic Cadet Training and the academic year through graduation week. When you join, you agree to a 12-month minimum commitment. For more information, refer to the Family Plan Terms and Conditions.

Q: Can I cancel anytime?

A: When you join as a Family Plan Member, you agree to a 12-month minimum commitment. There may be an early termination fee if cancelled before your 12-month commitment concludes. For more information, refer to the Family Plan Terms and Conditions.

Q: How do I change my payment information?

A: Please call us directly at 719-472-0300 to update your monthly payment information. There is not an option to update payment information online.

Q: Why should I continue my membership after Basic Cadet Training?

A: The WebGuy program runs year round and covers Basic Cadet Training and the academic year through graduation week. For the next four years, we’ll help you understand and appreciate the Core Values which form the moral foundation for these future Air Force leaders.

Q: Where do I find my AOG number (AOG ID or Member number)?

A: Your AOG ID is included in your membership packet (mailed 7-10 business days from the date you join); through the AOG ID look-up feature on our mobile membership app; clicking here to our website; or calling us directly at 719-472-0300.

Q: How can I obtain our AOG Member card?

A: Your membership card and access to most of your AOG benefits can be found through our mobile membership app. The app can be found in the Google Play Store or App Store by searching USAFA AOG.

Q: Do I need to call and cancel my Family Plan membership after graduation?

A: No. Your payments stop automatically after the 48th payment.

Q: Is WebGuy membership different from the AOG membership?

A: Access to our WebGuy program is only offered through a Family Plan membership, Husky Club membership, or to qualifying USAFA Graduate Life Members.

Q: Why doesn’t my username and password work for the AOG website?

A: The username and password that you created when you enrolled in membership is used to access our WebGuy program. The website for WebGuy is: www.usafawebguy.com. Login is not required or necessary for USAFA parents on our AOG website: www.usafa.org.

Q: If I cancel my membership will my cadet still be a member?

A: If you cancel your membership (upon completing the 12-month minimum membership commitment), your cadet’s membership also will be cancelled unless you choose to purchase your cadet’s membership separately. WebGuy is a four-year program that shares the story of the Academy life of the cadets, which covers Basic Cadet Training and the academic year through graduation week. All of the pictures from day one until graduation week are available for viewing on the WebGuy site for paying members. Due to the nature of the WebGuy program, if you wish to reinstate your membership because you want to see more pictures on WebGuy, you will be required to catch up any payments you missed.

Q: Is there a pay-in-full option? Is there a benefit to paying in full?

A: Yes. A pay-in-full option is offered for a limited time (March 1 – Sept. 30). You may pay in full for $1,485 (a savings of $243). Please call Megan Bollman, director of Membership, at 719-472-0300, ext. 108 for more information or to arrange for your membership to be paid in full.

Q: Is membership mandatory?

A: No. Membership is not mandatory; however, 75% of families join the AOG before Inprocessing and enjoy the benefits of AOG membership.

Q: What if my cadet signs up for membership after we sign up for Family Plan?

A: Cadets are given the opportunity to sign up for membership during BCT; however, we cross check membership enrollment before processing their membership application. If we receive a membership application from a cadet who already has a membership through their parent’s Family Plan membership, we notify the cadet and the application is not processed.

Q: I have read on Academy forum pages that cadets also pay for individual memberships. If I sign up for the family membership, will that include my son/daughter?

A: Our Family Plan Membership includes a membership for you and for your cadet. Cadets would not have the option of paying for a membership if they already have one through your Family Plan membership.

Q: I hear from some parents that their membership only costs $20 per month? Why am I paying $36 a month?

A: Your Family Plan membership is $36 a month because it includes your membership PLUS a membership for your cadet. The monthly payment is split in two ways: $20 pays for the parent portion of the membership and $16 pays for a life membership for your cadet. In the past, parents would pay for their own membership and cadets would pay for their own membership. Cadet membership payments were deducted through monthly allotments from their paycheck. Now, we have combined the membership so parents can help cadets keep more of their cadet pay.

Q: Can my cadet access WebGuy?

A: The WebGuy membership benefit is for our USAFA parents/family only who have an active qualifying membership.

Q: Can I use my membership dues as a tax deduction?

A: No. AOG membership is not tax deductible.

Prep School Membership Questions

Q: I am a parent of a Cadet Candidate (C/C). What are my membership options?

A: We have the Husky Club — a parent membership to the Association of Graduates (AOG) — which gives you access to AOG membership benefits and WebGuy for $20.23 per month. This membership does not include a Life Membership for your C/C. The Husky Club membership term is 10 months. Upon graduation from the Prep School, in order to keep your membership benefits as well as access to our WebGuy program, a Husky Club membership will need to be converted to a Family Plan Membership.

We also have the Family Plan Membership that is $36 per month for 48 months (12-month minimum commitment). This membership includes two parts: a parent membership to the AOG which gives you access to AOG membership benefits and WebGuy AND a Life Membership for your C/C. Signing up for Family Plan during your time at the Prep School will save you $202.30 (10 months of Husky Club membership dues). If your C/C leaves the Prep School or does not attend the Academy, a refund will be issued for their portion of the membership. We must be notified of their departure to receive a refund for their portion of membership.

You can enroll in either membership plan on our website at: www.usafawebguy.com/Membership.

Q: When should I join? Now or on Inprocessing Day?

A: You should join as soon as possible so you can set up your WebGuy account and enjoy your AOG membership benefits right away. If you join early, your membership begins on the date of enrollment and you will be billed for 10 or 48 months of membership dues based on membership type. Online enrollment for Husky Club closes each year on or around August 9 and Family Plan closes each year on the last business day in July.

Q: Is there a membership option that is just during BMT?

A: No. The membership options are Family Plan or Husky Club. Please see above for more information.

Q: When I enrolled, I gave my credit/debit card number. How are monthly dues processed?

A: Payments are processed monthly using the credit/debit card used when you enroll. Family Plan Membership dues are processed on the 10th of each month for 48 months. Husky Club membership dues are processed on the 20th of each month for 10 months.

Q: How do I change my payment information?

A: Please call us directly at 719-472-0300 to update your monthly payment information. There is not an option to update payment information online.

Q: Can I cancel anytime?

A: When you joined as a Husky Club Member, you agreed to a 10-month minimum commitment. When you joined as a Family Plan Member, you agreed to a 12-month minimum commitment. An early termination fee will apply if you do not maintain your agreed-upon membership through the end of your term. See Husky Club Terms and Conditions or Family Plan Terms and Conditions for more information.
