Visit the Academy
ACCESSING USAFA: The regulations for accessing the U.S. Air Force Academy have changed. To access the Academy, U.S. citizens must present a valid REAL ID and should request access through a sponsoring organization for specific events like tours, sporting events or Planetarium visits. Approved visitors will receive a virtual pass and may enter through either the north gate or south gate between 5:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. The virtual pass is for only one event at a time. Foreign nationals must be sponsored by a DoD ID cardholder and complete in-person processing with a physical passport at the Pass and Registration Office (PRO), which may take up to 72 hours. For any questions, contact the PRO at (719) 333-0441 or 10SFS.S5B@us.af.mil.

Welcome to USAFA
Whether it's your first time here or a return to familiar ground, we're honored to welcome you to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Located just north of Colorado Springs with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, the Academy offers something for everyone — from catching a game at Falcon Stadium and visiting iconic landmarks like Polaris Hall, to attending a show at the Planetarium and STEM Center or hiking the scenic Falcon Trail. Many visitors also come for milestone events that mark the cadet journey, including Inprocessing Day, Parents’ Weekend and graduation, and enjoy exploring the Heritage Trail at the Doolittle Campus.
