97.7 KAFA goes world-wide with streaming
KAFA is excited to team up with the AOG to provide world-wide access to the station.  On Thursday, May 1 at 4 p.m., KAFA started webcasting its programming live world-wide with a KAFA World-Wide On Air Party and Open House. Be sure to tune in, and listen anytime!

Wings of Blue jumps to another collegiate world record in "big way"
Freefalling through sunny blue skies 3 miles above Gila Bend, Ariz., the USAFA Parachute Team Wings of Blue (“PTWOB”) wrapped up the last skydive of spring break training by setting a new collegiate world record in “big way” formation jumping on  March 29, 2008.

Class of '68 honoring its FACs who were KIA
On April 15, 2008, a check for $10,000 from the Class of '68 was given to the 2008 Forward Air Controllers Memorial Committee. The contribution was made in honor of the five '68 grads killed in action while flying as Forward Air Controllers.

New bowl game features service academies
Coach Troy Calhoun wants the Air Force football team to pursue direct tie-ins with bowl games like Navy has in recent years. There now seems to be an ideal game with which Air Force could forge such a partnership as the Congressional Bowl was sanctioned by the NCAA on Wednesday. The game will take place in Washington, D.C., and organizers want to have a service academy team included each year.
 
Air Force Volleyball announces 2008 schedule
Three tournaments and eight Mountain West Conference matches highlight the home portion of the 2008 Air Force volleyball schedule, which was released April 30th by the athletic department.
 
Chris Knaute, '07, prepares for U.S. Olympic trials
Chris Knaute is undeniably one of the most decorated swimmers in Air Force history. In his tenure at the Academy, Knaute was a nine-time Mountain West Conference champion, two-time conference swimmer of the year and three-time NCAA qualifier.

Air Force football schedule set for 2008
Six nationally televised games and visits to Falcon Stadium by Southern Utah, Utah, Navy, New Mexico, Colorado State and BYU highlight the 2008 Air Force football schedule, released today by the Mountain West Conference.
