Graduate Dependent Scholarships

APPLICATIONS OPEN 1 DECEMBER 2023 THRU 3 MARCH 2024

The Board of Directors of the Association of Graduates (AOG) is pleased to offer Graduate Dependent Scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year. Graduate Dependent Scholarships are annual awards. Scholarships are intended to directly support post-secondary education for the children of AOG graduate members.

These scholarships are for not less than $500. The total amount available for scholarships is determined annually by the Board of Directors. The award is paid directly to award winners only upon verification of acceptance into or enrollment in an accredited institution.

Scholarship award winners as well as those applicants not selected to receive a scholarship in each year, are encouraged to re-apply for scholarships in subsequent years if they are still eligible.

Selection process:

  • Starts with receipt of application package with required supporting documentation. For Academic Year 2024-2025, the deadline for receiving completed packages via email is 3 March 2024.

NOTE: Applicants who have previously submitted application packages, regardless of whether they were awarded a scholarship, must re-submit all required information.
  • A selection committee made up of qualified USAFA graduates will convene to conduct a holistic review of each eligible applicant package. The scholarship winners will be determined based on demonstrated academic performance, leadership, & character, however financial need of applicants is also a consideration.
  • Scholarship winners and non-selected applicants will be notified no later than Friday, 14 June 2024. Winners will be required to provide proof of acceptance or enrollment at an accredited school and submit a statement that they intend to attend that school prior to actual receipt of the award funds.
  • Appropriate publicity of scholarship selectees will appear in AOG publications and winners may be asked to provide a recent photo of themselves or of the check presentation.
