Two classes offer gifts during reunions

Two reunion classes offered monetary gifts to the Air Force Academy through the USAFA Endowment’s Class Giving Program during their reunion weekend.

During its 55th reunion, the Class of ’63 transferred $3,000 to the Academy, $100 in memory of each graduate classmate who has passed away since the class’s last reunion. The money is designated for the Superintendent’s Discretionary Fund where it can help fund pressing needs at the Academy.

The Class of ’68 celebrated its 50th reunion by endowing the Cadet Cyber Competition Team. With 49 percent participation, the class raised more than $619,000, which will offer perpetual support to the team for travel, awards and other expenses not funded by the government. They are striving to increase their class participation to 68 percent.
