Leading the Way

We have seen civil unrest across the spectrum this past year in our nation. In times of unrest, it is important to reaffirm who we are. We are Air Force Academy graduates who hold our core values dear—Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. We are leaders of character. We are a diverse group of 50,000 graduates from all backgrounds and all walks of life. Yet we are united by our shared purpose…that of supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States. Our nation needs us to be leaders finding solutions during civil discourse so that we can truly be “We the People.” How do we do that? Engage with grads in our local Chapters. Share our thoughts with our class Senators serving in the Class Advisory Senate. Be part of the conversations at our annual National Character and Leadership Symposium. Bottom line…Engage and Lead the Way!

— A Message from the AOG Board

Remarks from U.S. Air Force Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Richard Clark '86 to USAFA Wing:

Teammates,

Earlier today, our DAF Senior Leaders signed the attached memo addressing last week’s violent assault on our Nation’s Capitol. Like the JCS memo I shared last night, this message also outlines our Services’ charge to Airmen and Guardians to remain disciplined and focused on defending our country. As stated during my all call earlier today, true leaders step up to meet the challenges of the day. Right now, it is time for us to rise above this dark moment together. Thank you for all you do in support of our Academy and for answering your Nation’s call! I’m proud to be on your Team!

V/R Rich Clark
