Class of 2008 Class Participation Campaign

In honor of our 10th reunion, our class has embarked on a Class of ’08 Class Giving campaign. In addition to celebrating our reunion, we feel it is equally important to give back to our Academy. The primary purpose of our class project is to encourage as many of our classmates to give back to the Academy as possible.

Our vision includes encouraging classmates to give to any Academy designation of their choosing. Since we are the 50th graduating class, we are striving to see 50 percent of our classmates participate toward our Class of 2008 Class Giving Campaign, and most important, support our Academy and the cadets. Additionally, we would like to dedicate our giving efforts in honor of our classmates who are gone but not forgotten: Carson Bird, Ian Helms, Christopher Stover, David Lyon, Victoria Pinckney, and Mark Voss.

Why does the Academy need private funding? These funds help support cadet and graduate programs, and alumni participation is measured as part of the rankings US News and World Report does every year. Nobody likes to see Annapolis or West Point ahead of us, and this is one of the categories that we can control!

Participating is easy! We ask for everyone to consider a small monthly commitment to any Academy need. A small monthly gift from 50 percent of our classmates can really add up to significant funding for our Academy and the cadets’ experiences. Please consider a monthly recurring gift of $20.08 or more. Feel free to email our ’08 Class Giving committee at 2008usafa@gmail.com for additional details. Together, we can give back to our Academy, and contribute to the continuous development of our elite institution and our future brothers and sisters of the Long Blue Line.
