Share Your Memories about Falcon Basketball
1964-1965: We had a pep band at all of the home games and many of the away games. Playing trombone with the cadets was the Dean. He was having as much fun as the rest of the pep band. I was the leader through default I think.

During the 1956-57 season, the team made a trip to Victoria,BC to play Royal Roads Military Academy which no longer exists. Their soccer team would come to Denver, and we would play basketball up there. They only problem was they didn't know how to play basketball. Very quickly, the game became a lopsided embarrassment and the coaches--Major Spears and Lt Dean Smith--ordered players to only shoot alphabetically. Open shots under the basket were not allowed if it wasn't your turn to shoot--which, for anyone who understood the game, was almost an insult. Somehow, a diplomatic incident was avoided, and Canadian hospitality saved the day.
