Westwood Heights, Michigan, names elementary school for hometown astronaut, ’74 grad

Former astronaut Donald McMongale, '74, will be honored at a new elementary school named for him in the Westwood Heights, Mich., School District during Hamady High School homecoming festivities Oct. 5.
 

USAFA garners Air Force Organizational Excellence Award
The Air Force Academy received its fifth Air Force Organizational Excellence Award the week of August 31, for meritorious service during the period of Jan. 1, 2005 to Dec. 31, 2006.

A 1993 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy will be inducted into the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America Hall of Fame at the 20th annual induction banquet July 1 in San Diego.

Falcons split two games in Canada
The Air Force men's basketball team moved its record to 3-1 on its Labor Day Weekend Canadian trip by splitting a pair of games Sunday in Vancouver, Canada.
