Wings of Blue sets world record

Add another record to the annals of the Academy's Wings of Blue Competition and Demonstration Parachute Team. The team set a collegiate world big-way record March 31, at Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field, Ariz., when 39 cadets linked in the air.

Spring in the Rockies is always full of surprises. Spring in Roswell, N.M., also gave its share of surprises to the Academy's aerobatic team during annual training over spring break.

Fewer officers to be cut by separation board

The number of officers vulnerable to be separated by a reduction in force board scheduled to meet in June has dipped to 2,112 — down from 2,288 as of mid-March.

 

 

Jeff Bzdelik resigns as men's basketball coach  

After two years at the helm of the Air Force men's basketball team, Jeff Bzdelik has resigned and accepted the head coaching position at the University of Colorado.

 

Bzdelik’s decision frustrates Popovich

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, ‘70 said he was “disappointed for selfish reasons” that Jeff Bzdelik left the academy for the University of Colorado.  “I thought Jeff was magnificent.”
