Gates to address AFA grads

Defense Secretary Robert Gates will speak during the May 30 graduation for the Air Force Academy’s class of 2007.

Academy works on next-generation space vehicle

Cadet research is underway to put Americans back on the moon and send them to Mars. In the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, several cadets are researching various aspects of NASA's newest spacecraft design, which will replace the space shuttles.


Academy grad to head delegation to China
Maj. Robert Mishev, ‘99 will head the International Scholar Laureate Program's delegation on business to China May 25-June 7.

Update on Cadet Cheating Investigation
The number of cases under investigation in a recent cheating incident at the Air Force Academy has increased from 36 to 37 since last week.


Air Force to Host Austin Peay in First Round of 2007 NIT
The Air Force Falcons will host the Governors in the first round of the Tournament on March 14. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. (MT) at Clune. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN2.

Eight repeat champs highlight Wing Open finals
The Air Force boxing team hosted 11 intense bouts in the 49th-annual Wing Open Championships. Eight former champions returned to the winner's circle, including Willie Lloyd, who became just the 11th boxer in Academy history to claim four consecutive titles.

CU Receives OK to talk to Bzdelik
Air Force athletic director Hans Mueh has granted permission for Colorado AD Mike Bohn to talk to Falcons coach Jeff Bzdelik about the Buffs' vacant coaching job.  

Brian Walsh Takes 12th at NCAA Championships
C1C Brian Walsh concluded the indoor season with a 12th-place finish in the heptathlon at the 2007 NCAA Track and Field Championships on March 10.
