Charles E. Phillips, Jr. '81
Charles Phillips is Chief Executive Officer of Infor, the third largest business software company in the world. Infor has 13,000 employees and is headquartered in New York City. Prior to Infor, Phillips was President of Oracle Corporation and a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to Oracle, Phillips was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in the Technology Group and served on its Board of Directors. At Morgan, he was selected as an Institutional Investor All-Star for ten consecutive years.
Before his career on Wall Street, Phillips was a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 2nd Battalion, 10th Marines and served at Camp Lejune.
Phillips holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy, a JD from New York Law School, and an MBA from Hampton University and is a member of the Georgia State Bar Association.
Phillips serves on the Boards of Viacom Corporation, Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York Law School, the American Museum of Natural History, the United States Air Force Academy Endowment Fund, The New York Historical Society, The Posse Foundation, and Phillips Charitable Organizations (www.phillipscharitable.org).
Savoy Magazine and Black Enterprise Magazine selected Phillip as one of the 100 most influential blacks in business. Phillips also served on the Obama Administration's Economic Recovery Board, led by Paul Volcker.
