Class Gift Program
USAFA Class of 2013
Our mission of the USAFA First-Class Giving Program is to provide graduating cadets of the United States Air Force Academy an easy way to make a commitment of giving back to the Academy upon graduation. Graduating cadets are encouraged to make a five-year commitment of giving to an Academy designation of their choosing, through small monthly allotments or online contributions. The main goal of this project is participation and classmates are encouraged to give back to the designation of their choice. Some of these giving options include gifts to the Air Force Academy Fund, the Long Blue Line Endowment, support for an academic area, support for an NCAA team sport, or support for Cadet Activities.
With an overall alumni giving participation rate of only 11%, USAFA seeks to change a culture of philanthropy among graduating cadets that will lead to higher participation rates among our graduate population. This program creates a benchmark amongst our youngest graduates for other classes to follow. A strong graduate participation rate increases the value of a United States Air Force Academy degree, helps in obtaining higher national rankings, and assists the Academy in securing private support from organizations and foundations. It is also something graduates can point to as a point of pride in our Academy.
Members of the graduating class are asked to make a commitment to the program during their graduating year and begin contributions in September following their graduation. Those who make a commitment will be listed online and those that make a contribution towards their commitments by October following their graduation will be featured on a plaque that will be permanently displayed at Doolittle Hall.
Make your commitment today and support your Class and your Academy!
